Aim

Urban Nutrition is a concept organic cold press juice, protein shakes and supplements bar set in North Leeds.

What is Urban Nutrition?

Set in a vibrant and wealthy suburb of Leeds, Urban Nutrition will be an organic superfoods juice, and supplements bar selling a wide range of cold pressed juices, protein shakes and smoothies plus acai bowls, coffee, sundaes and frozen yoghurt along with a range of organic salads and other ‘fit food’ savoury and sweet options. In addition, the bar will sell a range of amazing organic protein supplements for fitness enthusiasts which will help them to achieve their own personal fitness goals. The full menu range will be made entirely from natural organic produce and clients will be able to choose from a range of 32 different juice combinations as well as customise their own.

Our first site will be based in Chapel Allerton, Leeds and will be a daytime operation, serving breakfasts, lunches and juices 7 days per week with reduced operating hours on Sundays. With an ‘urban industrial’ feel to the bar there will be seating for approximately 30 covers however the main focus of the business will be it’s takeaway and supplement shop.

Why?

The nutrition industry in the UK is worth £527million but even with all of the online and high street outlets to buy from I have found it impossible to find a one stop solution that can cater for all of my needs which gave me the inspiration to start Urban Nutrition with the sole purpose of being able to not only being able to advise customers on a healthier way of living but coaching them into a better lifestyle using organic superfoods. 

Lets face it, nutrition is ‘big’ across the globe and people are constantly seeking a healthier way of life but the majority don’t know where to start when looking to make changes - some look for ‘off the shelf’ supplements which are usually full of chemicals or synthetic nutrients which are never absorbed by the body or take to looking at so called ‘health plans’ online which aren't necessarily right for their them which means they will never see the promised success. Our aim is to not only advise customers but also sell the necessary ‘ingredients’ in the form of organic juice products,  supplements and guidance to help support the changes that customers want to make.

Who?

My name it Andrew Masterman and for the past 10 years I have run my own successful Executive Search and Selection recruitment agency. I’m originally from Leeds and for as long as I can remember I’ve been a true sports, fitness and healthy lifestyle enthusiast long before it became the craze. I’m a true believer in ‘you are what you eat’ and I want to share my passion and my knowledge with others with the aim of coaching them into a better, healthier lifestyle and more active lifestyle.

I’m also a nutritional and personal training expert and Life Coach which puts me on a unique position to make Urban Nutrition a true success and achieve its long term objectives which would be to not only expand to other areas but to franchise out across the UK within the next 5 years.
