We are 38 friends who will be attempting to row 60km, Lake Saimaa (Finland) in July, supporting Ocean Conservation Trust & RE N-GAGE
This year, we are taking on one of the toughest endurance rowing events out there. Sulkavan Suursoudut, is renowned as Finland's largest and most challenging rowing events. We will be rowing 60km, in traditional Finnish boats called Church Boats.
Why We’re Rowing (Instead of Doing Something Sensible)
We love the ocean. We love young people. And we love the idea of making a difference so we are supporting two amazing charities.
Ocean Conservation Trust works to protect the seas we row on, swim in, and walk by. They’re restoring habitats, supporting marine life, engaging with people and working towards a healthier ocean for all. We’d like to help them so future generations can enjoy the ocean and all it provides.
RE N-GAGE empowers young people who need support, structure, and opportunities. They help build confidence, resilience, and brighter futures (which is exactly what we’ll need after this event, especially when we try to stand up again).

These two charities inspire us. They do the hard work every day. We’re just doing the sweaty, ridiculous bit to support them.
All donations will be split 50/50 between the two charities and will go towards vital core costs that are so rarely covered by grants.
Every donation you make does three important things:
It supports two brilliant charities doing life-changing work.
It turns our questionable decision-making into something genuinely meaningful.
It gives us a reason not to fake an injury halfway through.
Whether you give a little or a lot, you’re helping protect the ocean and empower young people and you’re giving us a massive boost when we’re rowing into a headwind wondering why we didn’t take up knitting instead.
Support our row. Support our charities. Support the idea that even slightly unhinged challenges can create real, positive change.
Thank you for cheering us on. And if you see us afterwards, please don’t ask us to lift anything heavy.
