On the 20th February 2021 we'd raised £10,025 with 54 supporters in 14 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
With extra money we will be able to build more bikes, take on more drivers and grow the delivery business.
Like many restaurants we have been hit hard by Covid-19, having to close our business, and see much our staff suffer. We have put together SUGO Delivers to get back to business in the delivery game, and hoping to offer a better delivery service than ever before, with our in house cyclist delivery team and ordering platform.
We will plan to launch the offering from our London Bridge and Elephant Castle sites, plus opening a delivery kitchen Deptford.
One of the main goals of launching SUGO Delivers will be to have a completely 0 emission delivery service. As we will not use a third party, motorbike delivery, and instead have our in house team of cyclists.
We also believe it will help support the neighbourhood and local economy as rather than paying large commissions to bigger companies we will be hiring locally for our delivery cyclists, creating more jobs, and putting money back into the local economy through our business.
We hope that by delivering with our team we will be able to offer a better service to our customers, as when you order to our restaurant you will have our team delivering to your door with the SUGO experience rather than a third party.
We are looking for funding to be able to buy the bikes, prepare internal ordering platforms and delivery systems as well as open a delivery kitchen in Deptford. We are excited to have the opportunity to launch this project and have the chance to try save our business!
