Aim

Help us get SUCCUBUS to Edinburgh! A new horror-comedy play from burlesque performer Georgina Collins. It'll be delicious!

The Succubus is real. The venue is booked and the team is ready. Now we just need to get her to Edinburgh!

After the incredible support for our first crowdfunder, Feed the Succubus, we not only hit our target - we exceeded it. Thanks to you, we've been able to rehearse, develop the show, book London preview performances and bring SUCCUBUS terrifyingly close to reality.

But Edinburgh Fringe demands a final sacrifice!

We're seeking one last offering of £2,000 to help cover the unavoidable costs of actually getting our team to the Fringe: accommodation that rarely dips below £80pp a night, train fares that start at around £60 each way per person, mountains of flyers, marketing materials, and all the countless expenses that appear when you decide to take a show to the world's biggest arts festival.

We hate asking twice, but the Succubus hates being told "no".

If you've ever had a doctor dismiss your symptoms as "just hormones", felt pressure to stay quiet, pleasant, and manageable, or wondered what might happen if women stopped apologising for being angry, hungry, horny, complicated, or strange - then SUCCUBUS is for you.

With your help, we can get this monstrous little show into the hands of Edinburgh audiences!

Our Story & Vision

SUCCUBUS is a bold new horror-comedy written and performed by Georgina Collins (aka burlesque artist Strawberry Duvall) and produced by Halfway Productions.

Born from Georgina's own experiences navigating unexplained hormonal changes and medical dismissal, the show began as a deeply personal inquiry into female biology and evolved into a darkly funny, unapologetic exploration of sexuality, identity, and power.

Blending gore, wit, and heart, SUCCUBUS celebrates the monstrous feminine and asks what happens when women are allowed to be transgressive: to feel shame, desire, rage, and pleasure without punishment.

Directed by Grainne Robson, a London-based theatre-maker specialising in new writing and comedy, the show brings humour to horror and tenderness to terror.

Halfway Productions - founded by theatre PRs Zara Jayant and Emily Ritchie - exists to champion emerging voices and create ambitious, entertaining theatre for audiences who don't quite know where they fit yet. Following our debut collaboration The Publicist (Camden Fringe 2025), SUCCUBUS is our next step in telling fearless, audience-facing stories by and for women and LGBTQ+ communities.

Why We Need Your Support

Like many independent Fringe companies, we've discovered that creating the show is only half the battle. Getting a cast and creative team to Edinburgh for an entire festival run comes with eye-watering costs.

Your contribution will go directly towards:

  • Accommodation during the festival
  • Travel costs for the creative team
  • Flyering and marketing materials
  • Festival living expenses and logistics
  • The many unexpected costs that appear during a Fringe run

Every pound raised helps us spend less time worrying about whether we can afford to be there and more time focusing on delivering the strongest, funniest, bloodiest version of SUCCUBUS possible.

We've poured everything we have into this show. If you're able to help us make this final push, we'd be endlessly grateful!
