Aim

Torbay Hospital Radio is fundraising for a new broadcasting desk in studio 2 to enable us to record more shows and train new members.

Torbay Hospital Radio is a registered charity run solely by volunteers. We provide music and entertainment to the patients of Torbay Hospital. Studies show that hospital radio can help improve patient wellbeing and recovery.

We have recently renovated studio 1 and are nearly there with studio 2. We just need to finish raising the funds to get a broadcasting desk to enable us to record more live and pre-recorded shows. As well as record podcasts and train new members on how to use the equipment before going live in studio 1.

The pandemic has made it harder for us to raise funds over the last 2 years. And it has been tough on the patients, so it is more important than ever that we can present more shows to entertain them and distract them from the loneliness and boredom of the hospital.
