Help fund 'PUBLIC' at the VAULT FESTIVAL

Aim

To help us develop and stage our rock/pop musical 'PUBLIC' for the VAULT FESTIVAL March '23

Who are we?

Stroud & notes is a BRAND-NEW, original musical collective, passionate about shaking things up in the industry! We believe in innovative forms, collaborating with warmth and generosity, and invoking important conversations through people-led stories and music that audiences can't get out of their heads. 

This project marks the exciting launch of our female/non-binary team collaborative collective, consisting of:

• Theatre Maker - Hannah Sands
• Movement Director / Theatre Maker - Natalie Stroud
• Musical Director - Olivia Zacharia

What we are doing?

We started developing 'PUBLIC' in 2022 - a one-hour, real time pop/rock musical about 4 very different strangers who get stuck together in a gender neutral public loo. It is a show about understanding, tolerance and laughter, all things we believe we need more of in life.

We are now working towards staging two "work-in-progress" performances of the FULL SHOW in March 2023 (17th/18th) at the VAULT Festival in London Waterloo. This is the UK's leading independent showcase of live performance and artistic talent, and is an important step in the show's journey. This is our chance to introduce this small, yet loud and proud show to wider audiences and theatre/festival programmers, paving our way for an exciting future! 

Why we need your help?

In order to make these showings happen, we need to raise quite a bit of dosh... Unfortunately, we were not successful in receiving Arts Council Funding, and so now need every bit of help to pay rehearsal costs, our performers, the venue hire, theatre administration fees etc. After a hard few years in the arts, we are desperate to pay people what they deserve, and do the work justice.

How you can help?

DONATE THE COST OF A TICKET: We understand if you cannot make the performance! However, donating the cost of a ticket ( 10-20) is HUGE and will help us work our way up to covering the cost of the project. 

LARGE DONATION: Putting it simply, we really cannot do this project on our own. If you are in the position to donate more, it would exponentially strengthen the work and creative process. To say thank you...
