We’re raising funds to give care leavers of all ages practical help, emotional support and someone to turn to when life gets tough.

Stride for Success: Walking the West Highland Way for Care Leavers

We’re taking on part of the West Highland Way to raise funds for Rees Foundation’s Caring for Care Leavers project — helping people who grew up in foster or residential care find support, build connections and move forward with confidence.

For many care leavers, there is no family safety net when life becomes difficult. An unexpected bill, worries about housing or a period of poor mental health can feel overwhelming without someone to call.

The need for care and connection doesn’t end at 18, 21 or 25. Rees offers support throughout adulthood, so care leavers have somewhere to turn, whatever their age.

Your donation will help provide:

• Someone to turn to: trusted support workers offering practical guidance and emotional support.
• Help through difficult times: support with financial pressures, housing concerns and accessing essential help.
• Connection and belonging: Let’s Connect groups, wellbeing workshops and Café Connections, helping people build friendships and feel less alone.
