Aim
We’re raising funds to create a welcoming community hub where people can connect, belong, and access personalised support.
Who are we, and what is our project about?
Stratford-upon-Avon Foodbank works tirelessly to stop people going hungry and provides practical support to help lift people out of poverty. As well as providing emergency food parcels, we work with people to improve their financial wellbeing, be that through debt advice or benefit checks. We do this by partnering with organisations to get people the support they need when going through some really tough times.
We’re a small, dedicated team driven by the belief that no one in our community should face hardship alone. Our new building will become the heart of our charity: a space that brings everything we do under one roof. It will house our warehouse and office space, support the smooth running of our satellite sessions across the community, and, importantly, become our new community hub: a warm, welcoming place where people can connect, find support and feel part of a welcoming community.
Our vision is to create a warm, inclusive community hub where people can connect, build confidence, and access personalised support that helps them move forward with dignity.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We’re raising money to bring our new community hub to life: covering the costs that will allow us to open the doors, welcome people in, and offer the personalised support and sense of belonging our clients deserve.
Our current space limits how personal and welcoming our support can be, and we know our clients deserve more. Our new building will let us create a hub where people feel seen, valued and supported from the moment they arrive.
How we’ll spend the money raised
Your donations will allow us to meet demand where it is needed the most by covering the core costs that will bring our new community hub to life. Your support will help us open the doors, staff the space, keep it warm and welcoming, and ensure we can offer personalised support, connection and hope to everyone who walks in.
- £25 funds a specialist welfare and debt advisor to attend a foodbank session in our new community hub
- £75 covers the cost of feeding six children for a week of the school holidays
- £180 covers the cost of one food distribution session
