We’re on a mission to transform our changing facilities and ensure our club remains a welcoming, modern, and inclusive space for everyone.
Stow Park LTC in Newport, South Wales is one of the oldest tennis clubs in the UK, with 6 courts and more than 400 members.
We offer a range of group sessions which are attended by more than 100 adults and 200 children each week. We run junior and adult competitions throughout the year, tennis camps in the school holidays and an annual Club Tournament. We have junior and adult teams in the LTA Team Tennis event and adult teams in the South Wales and Gwent Doubles Leagues.
We are fortunate to have a dedicated committee of volunteers who help to ensure the club has a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere. They give up their time to provide support in all areas - from cleaning and maintaining our clubhouse and grounds, to putting on a variety of social events and always seeking to make improvements for our members and visitors.

Our changing facilities are decades old and we're on a mission to improve them! This will include a new water heating system, showers, toilets and more comfortable spaces for our players and visiting teams - ensuring our club remains a welcoming, modern and inclusive space for everyone.

All of the funds that are kindly pledged to support the project will help us reach our fundraising goal, to ensure work on our changing rooms can begin as soon as possible! Any donation you can make, will be really appreciated.

The club is a key part of the local community, which is shown by the number of adults and children enjoying their tennis on the courts, as well as the friendships forged by players, parents, relatives and friends off the court. Many of our adult team players have progressed through the junior coaching programme.

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
