to install CCTV and extra for repairs and upkeep
three years ago the council closed a number of public loos up and down the country. the beach front toilets were one of them
aunty bettys and the bay fish understood the need for these facilities and decided between themselves to keep them open. the council agreed and helped by giving them rent and rates free.
we have maintained and run the toilets since then, employing several local businesses, Bridgefield services (approx £1100 per month), yearly painting (£2000), and maintenance and sundries (approx £3000 per year)
Wendy and jane volunteer to check them daily
there are donation boxes in the loos and on the counters of both businesses and all donations are so welcomed and go a little bit towards the 15,000+ running costs
we had our first serious vandalism this month which resulted in the toilets having to be closed
so we have decided to crowdfund to cover the costs of installation and repairs
at the insistence of you the public, and we hope you will spend a penny here, so you are able to spend a penny in future
