Who are we?
Bridestowe and Belstone Cricket Club are newly merged this year playing A Division cricket with 3 men's teams, a ladies softball team, 3 youth teams and juniors. Genuine village cricket with no paid players or staff, all run and played by volunteers
Why are we crowdfunding?
Having spent many hours and a lot of money servicing our ground equipment, mowers and so on, it all got stolen on 21st March. They took 6 machines, a generator and tools. We have to have many machines to do various jobs and all of them have been bought second hand from eBay and FB Marketplace when there was a bargain to be had. Now we have little time to find replacements and certainly don't have the money. In insurance terms, we will get very little as they were all old and have little value but to but replacements will cost about £10k that we don't have. Please help of you can!

How we’ll spend the money raised
We will scour the internet to try to find good quality second hand machines and service them.

Community impact
The ground is used by the players but also the whole community as we keep it open to the public to enjoy our beautiful ground and it is very well used for walking and leisure.

How you can play your part
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
