Aviva Community Fund has provided £7,057 of match funding
Donations would go towards our service which provides money advice to build resilience to those struggling with the cost-of-living.
Who we are
For over a decade, St Luke's Advice Service has been providing vital money advice and support in Brighton and Hove, to those that need it, for as long as they need it for.
Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers provide 1-to-1 support for those who are struggling to claim benefits and/or need help with managing debt.
What we do
We do this by giving the information, time and space to allow individuals to understand their options, seek solutions and take a control of their finances. This work is time consuming and complicated. We do not rush clients with time restricted or set number of appointments.
Our services provide help and support to the most vulnerable in our community. Clients are referred by partner organisations, and often, we catch individuals that would fall through the net otherwise.
Nearly three quarters of our clients have a mental health condition which can be made worse by their financial and benefit issues, and many live from health conditions, physical or learning disabilities.

Why we need help
Sadly, the rise in the cost-of-living has meant we've seen a massive rise in those struggling with their finances and reaching out to our services.
We're appealing for donations during this time so we can continue meeting the growing demand for our services.
We know times are tough, but any amount, big or small, would make a huge difference and go directly towards allowing us to continue with our work which is so needed at this time.
We’ve partnered with Aviva Community Foundation and are crowdfunding to make sure we can continue to meet the growing demand for our services.
Every donation is matched. So a donation of £50 is doubled to become £100; enough to pay our phone bill for a month.
