We aim to raise enough money to purchase each Under 10 player a winter training top.
Sherborne Town Ladies Football Club is an FA Charter Standard club which was formed in 2018 with the intention of providing footballing opportunities for women and girls in the Dorset area. We found that there was very little choice available locally and that players were having to travel long distances to be able to play. The Board members unanimously agreed that the club should exist to provide safe, fun and affordable football for women and girls from all backgrounds.
In 2019 our board approved the formation of a youth system and with the help of our fantastic coaching staff, the team was a great success. This year we expanded this youth system to include one further team, and once again the team was quickly filled, showing the great demand for affordable girls football in Dorset.
With our Board remaining dedicated to making our teams affordable to everyone, we have worked tirelessly to raise funds in order to reduce the costs to parents and carers. We have made a fantastic start, but there is plenty of work to be done to ensure that this facility remains financially viable long term.
With this pilot project, we aim to raise enough money to purchase each Under 10 player a winter training top, again reducing financial demand on parents and carers, while allowing all players to feel a sense of belonging and pride in their club.
Everyone at the club is passionate about our mission to provide affordable footballing opportunities to girls in Dorset and the surrounding areas, and we would be incredibly grateful for your support!
