Aim: We are aiming to raise money to improve the youth and kids equipment at the club
Who are we?
Stithians CC have been part of the village commuity for over 36 years since the club was reformed and moved to their current ground. We offer cricket for two Saturday League teams and a womans team. We have a midweek team that offers cricket to all genders, youngsters and old timers. We are a crucial part of the village offering community and excercise. For ten seasons we have ran Youth Cricket, which is extreamly popular and we had 44 seven to thirteen year olds joining in and experiencing the game in 2022.
Both league teams had secured promotion in 2021 and held onto to stay in those divisions in 2022. We really hope both teams can improve on their league positions in 2023 through some winter nets and spring training.
Community impact
We are very proud of the development of our Youth Cricket and the Ladies and Girls cricket which started this year. And we need to keep our support going for this growing aspect of the club. The squad consisited of 24 ladies, thirteen and up.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We are keen to improve the facilities for youth cricket and womens cricket as we look to become an inclusive space. This is about securing the next generation of talent and also provide a fun and healthy experience.
How we’ll spend the money raised
We need to secure funding to improve equipment and coaching for our Youth section.
We have a full list of projects that we would like to spend the money on from a digital score board, renovations to the club house and facilities for training. We would love to bring in some coaches to help in our build up to 2023. We need to draw up plans for the new club house.
Goal 1: £1500 for young peoples equipment and coaching plus coaching for youth cricket
Goal 2: Raise money for the Womens and Ladies game and for them to go to cricket festivals
Goal 3: Anything above will be refurbishment/ rebuilding the club house
