Aim

Help us reach our £8k stretch target so we can start doing good things in our community as soon as possible!

We feel your pain when it comes to family mealtimes...

We know how difficult it is to make sure your family is eating enough of their 5 a day, especially when you don’t have time to shop let alone chop. Add this to the fact most children are pickier than a giant panda and you’ve got an energy-sapping challenge on your hands.

So what are we doing about it?

In early Spring 2021, we’re launching a recipe box, bursting with fresh produce, delivered to your door. Every box contains ingredients for 3 meals that will each feed 4 hungry mouths. Our recipe boxes have three BIG differences...

Our recipes family-friendly, so you can all sit down and eat together (well sometimes it’s nice!)

We'll source our fresh organic produce locally where we can, so that it’s both seasonal and boosting local projects and charities, as well as reinvesting in the local economy.

We promise there'll be minimal packaging, you can add your own store cupboard ingredients like salt, cheese and milk.

We need your help to raise £6000 to launch our project.

The quicker we hit the ground running, the quicker we can start supporting our community.

  • to buy the ingredients for our first 200 boxes
  • To ensure that we can deliver free recipes boxes to families in our area hardest hit by COVID
  • To help us recruit and train local people to be part of our business

WHY SUPPORT US?

We want to transform the way local families buy, cook and think about food. We want to disrupt the supermarket-controlled food system by offering a UK-sourced, sustainable choice that keeps money in the local economy.

We want to show that our company can be well-managed and profitable without exploiting people or planet and once established, we want to be a significant local employer.

We believe everyone has the right to good food and we're dedicated to reinvesting our profits to improve access to organic vegetables for those who need it most in our community.

OUR MANIFESTO

  • We are a community interest company, which means we put people over profit. Our profits will be reinvested to make our community stronger and more resilient.
  • We will pay our suppliers. partners and employees fairly and decently.
  • We aim to make access to local, organic produce cheaper and easier than it is currently and source from UK farmers.
  • We’re aiming for as little waste as possible, so we won’t be using unnecessary packaging.

THE FUTURE

We would really love to set up a network of recipe box delivery services across the UK, owned and run locally, using produce from local farms and community groups. Watch this space!

Help us to help local families eat better food!

ABOUT ME

1605610321_jacquie-712x1024.jpgI'm a working mum who has been teaching children and their parents how to cook veg-packed food for 5 years: in schools, children’s centres and all kinds of settings. My ambition has always been to get families cooking a little more often, mostly with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. I've launched local healthy eating campaigns and run a busy Instagram account and Facebook page, aiming to inspire busy parents with quick, healthy and cheap dinner ideas that the whole family will love.
