Stepping up for Lucy

Aim

We are stepping up for Lucy , to buy her more time with her children and family as she bravely battles secondary breast cancer.

We’re stepping up for Lucy. ❤️

Lucy is just 45. She is a mum to two beautiful boys, just 5 and 8 years old. She is a daughter, a sister, a wife, a friend — and someone who means the world to so many people.

Lucy is living with stage 4 secondary breast cancer, which has spread to her liver and bones. Right now, we can’t change the diagnosis. We can’t take the cancer away. But we can fight for something incredibly precious: time.

Time for Lucy to watch her boys grow.

Time for birthdays, school plays, cricket matches, Christmas mornings and bedtime cuddles.

Time for memories that her boys will carry with them forever.

So we are putting one foot in front of the other and Stepping Up for Lucy.

In 3rd October we are  taking on the Surrey 3 Peaks — a brutal 23-mile hike, ascending over 1,000 metres and summiting the highest peaks in Surrey. It will take around 9–11 hours of walking, climbing, pushing through exhaustion! But every painful step will have a purpose.

Because this isn’t really about the 23 miles.

It’s about buying Lucy more miles with her boys.

More mornings. More cuddles. More laughter. More memories. More time.

Every donation, however big or small, is a step beside us. A step for Lucy. A step for her boys. To help give her access to treatments not available in on the NHS. With your help Lucy will be able access immunotherapy, a personalised cancer vaccine and liver directed treatment to control the cancers growth in Germany or the US .
