Aim

We want to support young people to make informed decisions about their futures. We support STEAM engagement. Please help us change lives!

STEAM Ahead is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, working with a wide range of local, national and international industries. We use our experience of high-end Teaching and Learning to effectively engage and support young people into careers in science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths. 

Our skills focussed activities engage young people and encourage them to consider their future careers. All activities have a clear central theme, allowing students to embed the ‘Skills for Life’ of resilience, creativity, teamwork, communication, problem-solving and self-motivation. 

This allows students to make informed choices about potential future careers choices, in line with the Gatsby Benchmarks and the United Kingdom’s progression benchmarks. We work closely with communities, ensuring that we are allowing young people to move away from potentially becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) students. 

Working primarily with those from underrepresented groups, as well as students eligible for the pupil premium. Our aim is to raise the aspirations of children and young people through STEAM engagement and in turn have a positive impact on their mental health and their ambition. 

All funding will be used to resource activities and fund subsidised places for young people to improve their life chances.
