Formed in 2004 STC has gone on to collaborate with many community groups to help local people mostly older people as well as running many projects of their own. In Sion To Care, everyone knows someone who has been helped by STC, be that in the arts or in wellbeing sessions and Big Sings for older people.
Like all voluntary organisation Sion To Care "STC" is struggling to cope with the fall out from Covid but also the cost of living crisis. People are more selective about where they spend their money in terms of donations. The Friends sessions have always been popular and are needed now more than ever as people are shivering in their own homes in one of the poorest areas, statistically, in the ealing Broadway
The money will be spent on rental space and heating but also on food and refreshments to make sure people are getting something warm inside. We will provide crafting materials also to keep local people occupied. We will even provide travel and gaz and eletricty expenses for people on low income who struggle to get to us.
