Staying at the marina.

Aim

I'm hoping to stay on in the marina for another year. My yearly mooring fee comes to an end on the 31st of July and I'm hoping to stay on.

At the end of this month I'll be at the end of my mooring here in Castle Marina. I currently have enough money to cover one extra month, or possibly two if I don't have any more bills before then. Unfortunately this will take me up to the start of winter and I'm not really looking forward to the idea of being without electricity when it starts to get colder.

They do allow us to pay monthly here, however that comes with its own problems. Firstly there is the obvious stress of having to try and raise the fees each month, especially as it will work out that I'll be paying an extra £12 per month versus the yearly rate. Secondly, if I don't raise the mooring fee on even one month then I'll lose my spot here and there is no guarantee that I'll be able to get it back, especially during winter when the marina is usually full to capacity.

The actual amount required for the full year is £1942.50. I fully appreciate that what I'm asking is huge, especially considering that I've already been the recipient of so much generosity from our community. I will therefore fully understand if people will choose not to support me on this, the only thing I ask is that they please do not be too mean about it.
