Raising money to commission a statue to commemorate Captain Sir Tom Moore.
We as a nation are all deeply saddened by the passing of Captain Sir Tom Moore, the decorated WWII veteran who raised raised £33 million for NHS Charities by walking laps of his garden in Bedfordshire. This made him not only JustGiving's largest fundraiser but also a double Guinness World Record holder and 2020's BBC News most non-political headline person.
For this remarkable legacy we believe he should be recognised for the warmth and happiness he brought to our nation during a time that was far from positive for so many. A national treasure who united us as a nation and inspired people across the world, he is a true hero.
He lifted the nation's spirits and we want to give back. We are raising funds for a commemorative statue in honour of Captain Tom in the home of his incredible fundraising efforts.
Any additional funds raised in excess of our goal will go to the NHS Charities.
In the words of Captain Sir Tom Moore: "For all those finding it difficult: the sun will shine on you again and the clouds will go away".
RIP
