Aim

Let's give this new charity the financial boost it deserves to start strong!

In December 2021 Ruach Resources was founded  to:

“Sharing the goodness of God with the next generation”

Inspired by Psalm 78:5-7

“God commanded our ancestors
to teach their children,
so the next generation would know them,
even the children yet to be born,
and they in turn would tell their children.
Then they would put their trust in God”

We create resources that teach children about God and invite them to know God more. Our resources focus on the indescribable, unchanging character of God as as revealed through the Bible, and we do our best to cover all aspects of the Trinitarian God: Father, Son and Spirit. (We adhere to the UK Evangelical Alliance's basis of Faith)

We call these the building blocks of faith because understanding the character of God lays a firm foundation to build a lasting faith, awe-inspiring wonder and a healthy curiosity of the bigger questions of life.  

We also want to equip and empower grownups to share their faith with their children in a way that’s fun, simple and effective.

“I really want to give this new charity the strong start that it deserves. Most people become Christians under the age of 18 and yet over 95% of children in the UK have no contact with church. We need resources like God for Kids app to exist in the world, so that every child will have the chance to hear that they are known and seen by a Creator God who loves them.” says Founder, Joanne Gilchrist

Your funding will create and sustain resources such as:

- apps like God for Kids app that explore God's character 

- books like 'Who Made God?' that explore the tricky questions kids ask

- printable "conversation starters" to help families talk about God in a fun and natural way

- outreach events that use these resources to spark conversation about God

The Future

Kids learn through a variety of mediums - videos, songs, stories and play  - we would like to expand and increase our range of these kinds of resources.

Look Inside: Animals of Eden Valley Books

These books explore the tricky questions that kids love to ask - and help grown-ups understand them too - through the rhyming adventures of the animals of Eden Valley. 

International speaker and author, Chris Spicer, describes these books as 'Making the sublime simple'.

And Helen Hull, mother of 4, says "These wonderful books explain the 'unexplainable' in a really accessible way for children."

Your funding will help us to use these resources at outreach events, to spark conversations about God with children. 

The sales of these books will go to support the running costs of Ruach Resources charity so that your funding can go directly into creating and improving new resources.

Look Inside: God for Kids App

God for Kids app has recently undergone a complete transformation - it's more user friendly and is full of extra content such as action-song music videos (provided by our friends at Alive Family Worship) and a section of stories, like a mini-podcast for your child, each one about a different aspect of God's character. 

Your donation will keep this app updated and enable us to create new videos, adventures, stories and translations. 

Conversation Starters

Each month we want to email free printable colouring sheets or "conversation starters" to help families make talking about God fun and a natural part of life. 

Your funding will enable us to produce high quality content and help as many families as possible to talk with their kids about God.

The Future

With enough funding, we have dreams!

- additional apps for a more diverse range of children

- a YouTube channel

- Sunday school curriculum

- outreach events to the public

- tailoring our work to fit with the school curriculum to expand our work into schools
