Star of the Sea needs your help!

Aim

Star of the Sea is a Community Interest Company, Music and Arts venue in Borth, West Wales

We really need to sort out our acoustic issues before Solana play on 13th August!

We want to have a broad range of events on at Star of the Sea in addition to the acoustic music we have been programming but we need to treat the chapel for sound issues first. It's currently a huge echo chamber! 

We need: 

• a curtain that covers the back of the room (Essential)
• baffles above the stage to stop the sound bouncing off the ceiling (Essential)
• baffles above the main room (Ideally)

Ideally we'd raise enough to have something made professionally that is effective, long lasting, ecologically sound and that fits the style of the chapel and it's proximity and connection with the sea.  

Below are some examples of 'baffling' as an idea. This project can also be really creative - like a sea-wave and could offer a local artist or architect an opportunity. We know we can also create our own with the materials if needed. 

All our gig income so far has gone into the upkeep of the Star of the Sea and paying artists.
