Aim

Our primary aim is to replace the broken heating system in our Community Hall that is at the heart of Little Hulton.

St Paul’s Peel Parish Community Hall: Supporting Our Community

Our building serves as a vital resource for the local community, providing space for a wide range of groups and activities. We operate a policy of low rental fees to support local organisations in getting started and continuing to grow. While this approach limits our income and the funds available for building improvements, it has fostered the successful formation and development of many community groups over the years.

In addition to hosting community organisations and services, we offer the hall as an affordable venue for local families to celebrate birthdays and other special events. With amenities such as bouncy castles, lighting, and sound systems—unique offerings in the area—we provide a welcoming and accessible space for families to gather and celebrate.

Our building has deep roots in the community. Originally opened as a school in 1867, it served generations of local children until the early 1980s. Recognising the growing need for a dedicated community space in Little Hulton, local residents came together to form St Paul’s Peel Parish Community Hall. In 1985, we took over the management of the building, working tirelessly to restore the then-dilapidated structure and breathe new life into it. At that time, it was the only community building in Little Hulton.

Today, St Paul’s Peel Parish Community Hall remains a cornerstone of the Little Hulton community. Thanks to the commitment of our volunteer management committee and the continued support of local families and organisations, the hall continues to provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for people of all ages and backgrounds.

However, the building’s current heating system—dating back to its Victorian origins—is increasingly inefficient and unreliable. To ensure the continued comfort and usability of the hall, we are seeking funds to replace the outdated system with two separate modern boilers, small-bore piping, and efficient radiators. This upgrade will enable us to heat different areas independently, significantly improving energy efficiency and helping to reduce our running costs
