We need to raise £32,000 to carry out essential repairs and maintenance to our clock tower and spire and ensure their long term survival.
We are a vibrant and welcoming Catholic parish and community in the heart of Bamber Bridge, just a few miles south of Preston, Lancashire. We are lucky to have a beautiful Grade II listed church which includes a clock tower, together with a 120ft spire with a peal of 6 (now 8) bells added in 1866. There is no better sound than our bells ringing out on a beautiful summer evening or for a wedding or national occasion. We have excellent links with the local community and schools and many of our parish groups and initiatives support those in need in our local community and beyond, such as the local food bank and vital support services such as a women’s refuge and supported housing for young people. Our clock tower and spire are now in need of essential repairs and maintenance and we hope you can support us to raise the £32,000 needed to secure the future of a much loved and iconic feature of the local skyline as we look forward to celebrating the 250th anniversary of our parish in 2030. Thank you very much for any support you can give, small or large.
