We are a friendly local team of volunteers working together so nobody feels isolated, even in 'isolation' because of the Covid-19 in West Putney and surrounding areas.
We want to make sure every neighbour feels cared for, valued and not alone in this time of uncertainty - neighbourly help is just a phone call away!
The project is in its formative stage with the aim of bringing essentials to those who are isolation, running errands for those stuck inside and to 'check in' with those neighbours we know need extra care throughout this time. Whether it’s to ensure you‘ve got enough prescription left, make sure you’ve got enough food or just for a friendly phone chat, we aim to be there!
The project is run entirely by volunteers and will be coordinated by Brutus Green, Vicar at St Margaret‘s Putney.
Money raised will go towards essential items of groceries and necessaries. Nobody is profiting. We would also welcome non-perishable food donations which can be left in the porch of St Margaret’s. Any left over donations after the Covid-19 situation will be given to Wandsworth food bank or to any fund that is set up to help people get back on their feet.
The project will continue as long as there is a need here in Putney.
