Revitalising St Joseph's Parish Hall: Building a Space for Everyone

St Joseph's Catholic Church has been at the heart of Fishponds for generations. Our parish hall has served thousands of people over the years, providing a place for worship, faith formation, youth activities, community groups, celebrations and support for local families.

Today, however, the hall is showing its age. Poor insulation, outdated facilities, worn flooring and limited accessibility mean it can no longer fully meet the needs of our growing parish and wider community.

We believe our hall can once again become a welcoming, vibrant and sustainable community hub for people of all ages.

Our Vision

Our vision is to transform St Joseph's Parish Hall into a warm, accessible and flexible space that serves both parishioners and the wider Fishponds community.

The refurbished hall will provide:

• Modern, comfortable meeting and activity spaces
• Improved accessibility for people of all abilities
• Better heating, insulation and ventilation
• Refurbished kitchen and hospitality facilities
• Enhanced audio-visual equipment for learning and events
• A safer, more welcoming environment for children, families and older people

The hall will continue to support catechesis, youth ministry, parish events, community groups, social gatherings and local initiatives that bring people together.

How We'll Use The Money

Funds raised through this Crowdfunder will contribute directly to the refurbishment of the hall, including:

• Ceiling repairs and improvements
• New insulation, heating and ventilation
• Accessible toilet facilities
• New flooring and decoration
• Kitchen improvements
• Audio-visual and storage upgrades

The total refurbishment cost is estimated at approximately £170,000–£200,000. Thanks to the generosity of parishioners and supporters, we have already raised around £90,000 towards the project. Your support will help us close the gap and make this vision a reality.
