Times of crisis always affect the most vulnerable people in society the hardest - including our Centre Members.
Your kind donations will help us purchase Christmas gifts which we will distribute to our Centre members and their children - many of which will be isolated and alone this Christmas. These gifts bring so much joy, celebration and a sense of community to those that need it most.
Last year we were able to distribute 333 gifts to adults and 250 gifts to children. Help us reach even more families this year!

By donating to the St. Augustine's Centre 2021 Christmas Appeal, you can receive a beautiful, printable Certificate of Donation via email (perfect for putting into a Christmas card for a loved one!) confirming what your donation could cover.
How your donations will be used:
All donations received through the Christmas Appeal will go to St. Augustine's Centre to purchase age-appropriate gifts. The specified gift on your voucher is illustrative in purpose, your donation may be used to provide a needed gift other than that listed on your voucher depending on the precise needs of our centre members.
Other ways to help:
You can also purchase gifts and bring directly to our Centre. We are looking for gifts across all age ranges, including hats and gloves, toys, nice toiletries and pyjamas. Please contact us for more information: [email protected]
Who are we?
We are Calderdale’s specialist charity working with people seeking asylum and refugees as well as local people, we have 15 staff, 170 volunteers and a community of 650 individuals and families from 57 countries.
We offer specialist advice on immigration and asylum support, and one to one support with welfare, housing, health and access to wider services. We provide hot meals, English language classes, training, cultural, social and wellbeing activities, trips and volunteering opportunities. We offer spaces for reflection and a befriending and integration service. As a core member of the Valley of Sanctuary, we want to share stories and build awareness about the experience for those fleeing war and persecution, advocating and campaigning locally and nationally.
