The annual St Albans Fireworks Spectacular has raised over £750k for charities since it first started 30 years ago. Any extra money donated will be given to our nominated charities, Youth Talk, the Hospice of St Francis and St Albans Cathedral.
This year the St Albans Cathedral fireworks spectacular has been reimagined into a doorstep display.
Instead of a ticketed event for thousands of people in Verulamium Park, an aerial display is planned that will be visible from doorsteps across the city, without the need for people to leave their homes*. The display will also be live streamed on YouTube.
Thanks to people's generosity, St Albans will have the only known public display delivered by Fantastic Fireworks in the UK.
Date: Saturday 7 November
Time: 6pm, for a 10 minute simultaneous display from undisclosed firing sites across the city.
Where: Visible from doorsteps* in St Albans and live on YouTube.
~
£20k is needed to cover the cost of the fireworks.
Any money raised beyond £20k goes to our nominated charities - The Hospice of St Francis and Youth Talk, St Albans and St Albans Cathedral.
~
*We estimate more than 50,000 people will be able to see the fireworks from their homes in St Albans, due to the positioning of the firing sites. The display will be live streamed on YouTube for all to watch.
Thanks to St Albans BID for sponsoring the display.
Thanks to The Herts Advertiser for their support with this campaign.
