Founded by parents of a child with Angelman Syndrome, the charity was created to provide practical support, raise awareness, fund life-changing research and create opportunities for children and families to take part in inclusive physical activities.
Since becoming a registered charity in 2023, Spread Your Wings UK has made a significant impact across the Angelman community. The charity has awarded family grants to help fund specialist equipment, therapies and essential services, donated £60,000 to support the Oxford Natural History Study through FAST UK, and has helped raise awareness of Angelman Syndrome through fundraising events, campaigns and community engagement.
