Aim

To raise £6000 to cover the cost of essential new sports equipment .

Who are we?

We are a dedicated Pilot Gig Club, bringing together people of all ages and abilities through a shared love of rowing. We have an active and successful junior rowing team of children and teenagers between the ages of 10-18.  Our passion for rowing is evidenced through early morning training sessions and taking part in many competitive rowing regattas including The World Pilot Gig championships, The Great London River Race and Monster the Loch race .  Our club is at the heart of our community.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are fundraising to invest in essential equipment to keep our club safe, competitive and accessible to all our members.   This includes new sports equipment ie. rowing machines to support our ongoing training for new / existing members and junior rowers  all year round. Having the right equipment will help us train more effectively, reduce risk of injury, compete at a higher level and build confidence and team spirit.

How we’ll spend the money raised

All funds raised will be put to buy new equipment to enable the Club members to achieve and maintain maximum fitness. 

Community impact

With the support, we can continue to grow, stay active, build confidence and be part of something bigger.  

Without proper equipment, it becomes harder to train safely welcome new members and compete at our best.

How you can play your part

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality:-

1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.

3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!

4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
