Aim

raising funds for our team with 50% proceeds being donated to Ayrshire Cancer Support's services for children and young people services.

Who are we?

Tass Thistle 2015s are a youth football squad. The 2015 age group consists of players who are currently moving through the early stages of the Scottish Youth Football pathway.

Why are we Crowdfunding/Fundraising

Our players are growing fast and preparing to move up to 9-a-side football, an exciting but challenging step that brings new costs for kits, training equipment, tournament entries, and recognition awards nights. Every donation helps us continue providing a positive, supportive environment for these young athletes as they develop their skills, teamwork, and passion for football.

At the same time, we’re proud to support a cause close to many hearts — Ayrshire Cancer Support’s Children & Young People Service, which provides vital care and emotional support to young patients and their families across the region.  It costs the charity approximately £3,457 every single day to keep their vital operations running.  50% of the overall funds raised will be donated directly to this incredible charity, helping them continue their life-changing work.

This Dual Sponsored Walk is more than a fundraiser — it’s a celebration of community, kindness, and determination. Together, Tass Thistle 2015’s players are walking side by side for their team and for others facing challenges far greater than a tough match.

The Challenge

The Great Island Trek: Tass Thistle 2015s Football Team take on Millport - 10 Miles

On the morning of June 6th, the quiet shores of Cumbrae won’t stay quiet for long. The air will be filled with the sound of laughter, the rhythmic scuff of trainers, and the unmistakable spirit of the Tass Thistle 2015s.

This isn't just a day out at the seaside; it’s a mission. Our young players are swapping the pitch for the perimeter of Millport, embarking on a Dual Sponsored Walk to fuel their footballing dreams and support a cause that sits close to the heart of our community: Ayrshire Cancer Support – Children & Young People Service.

The 10-mile loop around Millport is a test of endurance for 9 and 10-year-olds, but if their performance on the pitch is anything to go by, they’ll handle it with a smile.
