This is a Crowdfunding campaign run by Middleton Towers Railway Station Community Interest Company, a non-profit company (company no: 15517210). All money raised will solely be spent on the platform buildings.
This is a Crowdfunder to raise the funds necessary to restore and install the brickwork of the old store room, which will be used as a kitchenette for the future tea room operation. Approximately £5,000 is required to restore the brickwork and we simply cannot do this without the public’s generosity.
Please consider sponsoring a brick today.
By sponsoring a brick, you will receive:
- A thank you letter or email from the group’s founder.
- Your name in a hand-written thank you book, which will be displayed in the future tea room for everyone to read.
- Your name included on an online thank you page on our website.
Receiving your thank you letter or email:
During or after the closure of the Crowdfunder, you will be emailed directly from our Crowdfunder account, to request your email address or postal address where you would like your thank you from the group's founder. Postage will be free of charge.
How will the book look like? What can I have next to my donation?
The book will be hardback and will be listed from 1 to 500, with the first donor being number 1, second being number 2, etc.
You will have the option to have the following written next to your number:
- Your name or a name of a loved one (if gifted to someone);
- Any text you wish to include, up to a maximum of 30 words.
How will the website look?
Alongside the book will be an article on our website (www.middletontowers.org.uk), with the numbers between 1 to 500 in order, the same as the book. However, only a name will be next to your number on our website.
How will any remaining money be spent?
Every penny will be spent on the project, so if there are remaining funds after the brickwork, this will be spent on the rest of the project from the roof to the canopy and the floor works.
What will happen if more than £5,000 is raised?
Donors who support us beyond the £5,000 brick fundraising target will be contacted to ask whether they would like to use their donation as a sponsorship for a roof tile. This would operate the same as our brickwork fundraiser, but a new donor book will be made plus a website piece.
