Aim
We will support Westcliff Jewish Community Centre which is financially struggling with the increased energy costs.
Inflation has reached a 30-year high and we are seeing increased poverty across the country, especially in and around disadvantaged communities.
Many local Orthodox Jewish families, who were already suffering from post-COVID-19 poverty, are now additionally facing the impact of high inflation, with the increased cost of living squeezing household incomes. They are feeling overwhelmed by money worries, which is causing stress, anxiety, and depression.
Westcliff Jewish Community Centre provides them with a safe and secure space, a warm hub, and 3 meals over the weekend. The energy costs have increased by double which is causing the charity to struggle to pay the bills.
