Aim: Our 3km swim is in aid of The Ionian Environment Foundation, marine conservationists who protect the waters we swim and sail in all summer!
No one can afford to take the oceans, seas and waterways of our planet for granted nowadays. We spend our summers in the Ionian and Aegean Seas of Greece and know that the water is getting hotter and more polluted.
The Ionian Environment Foundation help stranded whales and dolphins, they protect the Med's endangered monk seal, they promote sustainable sailing and raise awareness of ecological mooring and plastic reduction.

As a kid I used to swim for the Knottingley Dolphins, my local swim team where I grew up in North Yorkshire. Nowadays I can only manage about three butterfly strokes but I still love the water and am all in when it comes to marine conservation.
I've started some training...slowly...but very much hoping that 3 kms from Albania to Corfu won't get the better of me. The more you pledge the harder I'll train!
