Sponsor a stable in the Rosemary Kind Barn and help give rescued horses the very best care.

The Rosemary Kind Barn now stands proudly at our Coombe Park Sanctuary, built in honour of our founder, Rosemary Kind, and her lifelong commitment to equine welfare. 

This purpose-built unit has been created to provide the very best care for rescued horses and ponies, while also becoming a place where children, families and communities can connect with horses, nature and wellbeing for generations to come. 

Although the building is complete, the story is only just beginning. Of the 13 internal stables, which are ready and waiting for their first residents, we are so grateful to have been able to secure sponsorship for 5 of them through trusts and foundations, as well as some fantastic individual supporters. 

We're now inviting you to become part of this exciting new chapter, by sponsoring one of the 8 remaining stables.

Each stable cost £3,975 to install, thanks to the generous charitable discount provided by our manufacturing partner. Once essential fittings, including automatic drinkers, rug rails and hay net rings, were installed, the total cost of each fully equipped stable reached £5,000.

Every sponsored stable will feature a beautifully crafted commemorative plaque with a QR code, allowing visitors to discover the individuals, families, businesses and organisations whose generosity helped make the Rosemary Kind Barn possible. Long after the first horses have moved in, every visitor will be able to see your contribution and the lasting difference you made. 

Whether you sponsor an entire stable or contribute towards one, you'll be helping provide a safe home for rescued horses and ponies for generations to come.

If you'd like to make a larger donation or support the remaining elements of the Rosemary Kind Barn, including our dedicated classroom, outdoor landscaping, horse care and staff facilities, we'd love to hear from you. Your donation will be used towards covering the costs incurred to complete the Rosemary Kind Barn during 2026. These costs include the construction and fitting out of the stables within the barn. If we raise more than £10,000 (the equivalent cost of two fully equipped stables), any additional funds will be used towards the costs of other stables and facilities within the barn and, thereafter, to support the ongoing care and welfare of the horses and ponies living at our four Devon sanctuaries and deliver our charitable objects. 

As the Rosemary Kind Barn has already been completed, we have met the costs of this vital project through our capital budget. Your donation will therefore reimburse those capital costs, allowing us to continue investing in the facilities and lifelong care our rescued horses and ponies deserve. In all circumstances, your donation will be used to support the charitable purposes of Mare and Foal Sanctuary and the ongoing welfare of our sanctuary residents.
