Splitz Gymnastics Club

Aim

We have an opportunity to expand to a new gymnastics unit with additional equipment allowing us to offer more to the Gymnastic Community.

Splitz Gymnastics is a family run, not for profit gymnastics club, which has been running for 36 years in Weston Super Mare.

We started in a small school hall and have grown and expanded our classes over the years. We moved into a purpose-built industrial unit 6 years ago and our classes have grown from strength to strength.

Due to the expanded classes which have large waiting lists, we realised that we were starting to outgrow our home.

The scope of the new unit is enough to triple our membership & class catering numbers allowing us to cater for more gymnasts from walking age to 18 years old who would like to join us.

We would like to be in a position to offer gymnastic coach training leading to qualifications which will secure the future running of the club.

Understanding the world has changed in the last few years, we aim to continue to offer all disciplines of gymnastics from fun and fitness to Special Educational Needs, also holiday clubs to help working parents.

The supportive funding would vastly help towards the build of the unit with modern specification of separate changing rooms, disabled toilets, viewing area, dance studio, safe parking, with space also to hold fun non-competitive classes and social events for the local public and business community.

The additional equipment needed would be a sprung floor and raised tumbling track and landing pit for our competition squads which are:

Acrobatic, Tumbling, Aerobics, Floor and Vault.

Pre School Gymnastics.
We offer two Pre School classes Caterpillars and Butterfly’s from walking.

Aerobic Gymnastics
At Splitz we run popular Aerobics classes from beginners to International.

We have had many medal winners at all levels and our competition Squads compete regularly.

Unfortunately we don’t have a full competition Aerobics floor, by moving to the new gym we will have room to accommodate this and the gymnasts will be able to get the full competition experience, also we will be able to run coaching courses and hold club competitions

We are proud to offer all disciplines of gymnastics from fun and fitness to Special Educational Needs, also holiday clubs to help working parents.

We are so proud that children who have attended our Splitz Gym Family are now bringing their own children and generations of their own family members.
