On the 10th July 2023 we'd raised £1,132 with 25 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
If we raised enough money for the Summer Festival anything over the £1000 will go towards the Halloween Event.
CommUNITY Little Hulton is the local charity based at number 27 - 29 Little Hulton District Centre we run the food club, the Youth Unity Project and we run the Peel Park Pavilion at the top of Peel Park.
We also help run larger community events both on Peel Park and on Little Hulton Precinct often working in partnership with Spirit of Little Hulton.
We want to bring some amazing community events to Little Hulton this year including a bigger and better Spirit of Little Hulton Festival and the spookiest ever Halloween event.
The summer festival will be on Saturday 5th August there will be a funfair, traditional stalls, refreshments, community stalls and back by popular demand the Dog Show.
The the summer festival will also be a festival of sport with sessions on the Bike Track , Foundation 92 on the new Cruyff Court and Lancashire Cricket Club offering cricket taster sessions.
We have some great sports facilities on the park which we have developed over the last two years with a Bike Tack and a Cruyff court. But we want these facilities to to used by as many members of the community as possible. So we will be using the summer festival to showcase these facilities and promote sessions that we offer including Walking Football and coached sessions on the Bike Track.
We know that due to Covid some people lost the habit of going out and we want to encourage everyone back on to the amazing sport facilities on the park.
We will have a performance stage with a £100 prize for the most talented local act thanks to Northwest Funfairs.
In the Autumn, we will hold our Halloween event with a Witches Walk, pumpkin patch and spooky entertainment.
As in pervious years we will co-design the Halloween event with the young people from our Youth Unity Project.
We are hoping the Halloween event will also be a closing event for the Pavilion which is due close for a major refurbishment.
We just need a bit more funding to help make these events happen so please make a pledge.
