Aim
To upgrade and expand Speldiburn, creating a better visitor experience, enhanced facilities and room for BDL and our tenants room to grow!
Bressay Development Ltd has been awarded almost £1M from the Regeneration Capital Grant Fund! This is an amazing investment in Bressay's future and a huge part of the funding required for our £1,235,100 project.
Our project includes a new build studio block on the site of the former outside toilets, with a new larger entrance area which includes a shower and laundry room. The studio block will house four art/craft spaces with shop fronts and access to a new garden area. Much of Speldiburn will remain in it's current form but the entrance will be transformed and the toilets replaced, our current office will be removed to make a spacious new exhibition area.
BDL will be undertaking a number of fundraising activities in the coming months and we hope our Crowdfunder page will be an easy way for you to help support our efforts if you can, or just share our story with others!
BDL is a not for profit community organisation managed by unpaid volunteers. We receive no outside funding towards the running of Speldiburn so any help we receive - financial or in person - really is valued.
