We aim to replace our 25 year old Mackie front of house speakers with new high quality RCF TT range speakers
The Live Room at Saltaire
The Live Room (TLR) was created by Ron Dukelow and Hilary Booth in 2012 to bring live folk, roots and Americana music to Caroline Street Social Club in Saltaire on the outskirts of Bradford. To date, we have presented over 350 shows at the club. It is very much a grassroots affair, with the booking of artists; publicity & marketing; sound; and front of house all done by Ron & Hilary, helped by a small team of friends and volunteers on the day of the shows.

Our programme
Despite being a small organisation and completely self-funded, TLR has featured artists across a range of genres and from around the globe. Our programme has featured Grammy Award winners such as Tim O'Brien, Molly Tuttle and Mike Farris, and has built a reputation among the public and artists alike as one of the best small venues in the UK. Many of these award-winning artists love to return and insist on TLR being on their UK tour itinerary.

The Project
The project that we are looking to fund is to replace and upgrade our main Front of House (FOH) speakers. Our current speakers were originally purchased in 1999 and were first used by a small arts association that we ran in mid Wales. They were state of the art back then, have been looked after and well cared for, but cannot last forever. Technology has moved on and it is past time for an upgrade to improve the quality of our presentation.
High quality equipment is very expensive and beyond our means. We have applied for a grant towards the costs but this will only cover around half of the total. Some we can contribute ourselves, but the rest we are trying to raise via this crowdfunder.
Current Equipment
Our current, 25 year old FOH speakers are Mackie SRM450 full range tops and SRS1500 subwoofers, which were pretty much state of the art in 1999, are coming to the end of their useful lives. Although still producing good quality sound, we have had to carry out some repairs of late and although we will be sad to say goodbye, it is time to upgrade and make improvements that will take us forward.
The New Equipment
The speakers we are looking to purchase are RCF TT 22-A II Active 12" 2200W full range tops and RCF TTS 15-A - 2200W 15" Active High Power Subwoofers.

Outcome
The installation of these new FOH speakers will:
