Speak for the trees

Aim

Help us grow, breathe, and plant more trees. Tree Action are a not-for profit planting trees in schools and public spaces.

All it takes is one child, one idea and a community willing to act. 🌳

Heidi is 11 years old, loves trees, and recently noticed the young trees Tree Action had planted on her local community grounds.

Heidi got in touch with us at Tree Action and said:

"I live near to some of the trees you planted. 

I’d like to help to plant more trees. 

I have an idea for a fundraiser.” 

She hatched the brilliant plan to get family and friends together, and organise a sponsored "Stand on One Leg" challenge amongst the very trees that inspired her.

Heidi is currently practicing, and has reached 9 minutes so far. 

Wow! What an inspiration!

The sponsored challenge will take place on the second week of September, so we’ll update you then as to the final outcome.

She’s asking people to sponsor her £1 per minute, or as much as you can afford because every little bit will make a huge difference.

Heidi really understands something that it’s easy to forget: planting and caring for a tree isn't just about responding to the environmental challenges we face today. 

It's about creating greener, healthier places where people and wildlife can continue to live and thrive for generations to come.

Heidi shares our love and care for trees. Tree Action, don't just plant trees.

We work with local communities to bring people together to connect with nature, bringing the tools, skills, expert knowledge and teams of volunteers, to care for the trees and help them flourish long-term. 

Heidi is a young leader, taking the direct positive action that our environment needs so much right now. 

All she needs to make a lasting difference, is a community who will support her action and dedication.

If we keep cutting them down for paper, they'll have no time to grow back later!
