Hello friends. We hope you and your families are staying well in these challenging times.
If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve seen one of the hundreds of spectacular Spark! shows we do all around the world each year. We reckon we’ve performed to at least a couple of million people since Spark! debuted in 2012. Where did you first see us?
As lockdown measures begin to ease and places begin to open up again, the event and entertainment industry is still a long way off from returning back to normal.
We pose for hundreds of photos after most shows and, whilst you might have gotten up close with our performers, you won’t have ever heard them speak. Like the true professionals they are, they stay in character until the end. Mysterious!
Now we need your help. So let us introduce you to Francesca, Jack, Carly, Brendan, Mark, Adam, Edwin, Daniel, Aidan, Lizzie, Nicola, Charlie, Dave and Ashling. Ta-da! No make-up!

These are the hard working, multi-talented professional performers that entertained and captivated you at the last Spark! show you saw.
Their skill, passion, enthusiasm and energy has driven Spark! for the past eight years and whether it be through connections during the show or whilst taking selfies with the public afterwards, they’ve made long lasting impressions on audiences of all ages, all over the world.
The COVID-19 pandemic has meant that all of our shows this year have been cancelled. All of our income as a company comes from the shows we do. No shows = no income.
This has had a devastating financial impact on our performers. Most of them perform with other groups, shows, or they teach. Most of this work has gone too. We’re asking for your support to help them weather this storm and have Spark! come back even stronger.
We’ve gone from having a packed calendar of shows lined up, to having no idea when performances can happen again. Although lockdown measures are beginning to ease, the event and entertainment industry is still a long way off from returning to normal.
But we will be able to perform again and when we can we want to be ready to hit-the-ground-running and bring our joy and light to you all as soon as possible!

With your help, we can pay our performers to work on new ideas and music for the show; create teaching videos for you so we can have more audience involvement in a bigger version of Spark! in the future, and keep the show fresh and ready to go.
Every pound you donate will go directly to the performers to help them keep working during this time. As soon as conditions allow we’ll be back stronger and better, spreading the fun to even more families.

You’ll get a warm glow knowing that you’re playing a really important part in helping something that you love survive and the satisfaction that you’re supporting the performers and their families too.
You will also get:
North East Local Enterprise Partnership will match the first £5000 we raise. So a £20 donation from you becomes £40 like magic! You’ll double the help you give by being one of our early supporters and help us reach our target sooner.
** If you’d like the personal “thank you” and the invitation to the free show then make sure your donation isn't anonymous. Even better, leave a comment with your donation and tell us your best Spark! memories.

We ask project owners to honour their rewards wherever possible but please note that all pledges are donations and there is no guarantee that you will receive any rewards from the project owner. Please see Crowdfunder's Terms of Use for more information regarding rewards for pledges.
