The Spalding COVID-19 Kindness Team has been set up in March 2020 with volunteers and businesses ready to deliver essentials to Spalding & Pinchbeck vulnerable residents who are either struggling with shopping or self-isolating at home.
The group was set up by mum-of-two Keira Williamson, a part-time pharmacy assistant at Sainsbury’s, after she watched an elderly man struggling to find the things he needed.
Within 24 hours of setting up Spalding COVID Kindness Team, the site gained 200 followers, 10 volunteers and businesses Fenland Fruit and Veg, A Country Kitchen and Morrisons stepped forward.
We are continuing to grow but cannot do this without your help! Every donation is accepted with extreme gratitude. Let’s pull together as a community and get through in unity. These are unprecedented times but together, we are stronger, and the response is coming from communities across the country.
Volunteer groups are springing up to tackle the logistical problems faced in our communities – but they need urgent support. That's where you come in.
