Aim

Spacebot Interactive aims to bring retro style video games to the gaming community that capture the magic and creativeness of the past.

Hi everyone, my names Chris, thank you for taking the time to read about my project. I had always dreamed of developing video games since I was a young boy, the artistic nature and creativeness the developers of retro video games used to create visual effects and gripping storylines always amazed me. During the pandemic I had been made redundant due to working in the office space industry which got hit very hard due to lockdowns and people being asked to work from home. This meant I had some extra time on my hands inbetween looking for a new job, so I decided to follow my dream and learn how to develop video games. I came across an engine called GB Studio which offers a visual scripting system which makes the process of developing games for the original Game Boy and Game Boy Color much more accessible, so I set out to finish my first game and created an RPG adventure named Dragonborne, this garnered a fair amount of interest due to few studios developing these type of games at the time. Fast forward a couple of years and we now have a small team of developers and myself who is involved in programming and project managing, we are currently developing a reimagining of the first RPG I developed which has been rebranded to Dragonyhm, we have mapped out a complete backstory for the series and plan to develop around 5 games to tell the story, spanning across multiple consoles, we would also like to explore the possibility of producing an anime tv series based on the game. We also have a game in the works in colloboration with The Stokerverse who are a Bram Stoker estate organisation run by Bram's great grandson and his business partner, this game is based on Bram's novel Dracula and includes scenes derived from his notes that have never been portrayed in any kind of media. The reason we are hoping to raise some funds is to cover the working costs of running a business including wages, marketing and equipment cost. We would love to continue to bring this type of media to the gaming community and lots of projects and ideas waiting in the pipeline. Thank you again for your interest.
