Bristol needs Space for Cycling - and a Mayor and councillors committed to deliver it after the elections on 4th May. Help make it happen!
Two thirds of Bristol people consider our streets unsafe for cycling. The city is congested and polluted. With Council elections in May all candidates need to know that the majority of Bristolians want safer cycle infrastructure. And more white lines is NOT cycle infrastructure!!!
To make Bristol a place where everyone feels able to cycle we need a well promoted campaign for real 'Space for Cycling'. We want to make a loud clear demand for our Mayor and concillors to use the next four years to deliver lots of continuous protected cycle lanes, more cycle parking, and safer roads for cycling.
Help make this happen by donating now so that the following can happen:
A beautiful, quick and simple website
Vigorous social media activity
Loads of lovely and eye catching bike plates, fliers, posters, stickers
Teams of coffee and cake fuelled volunteers out leafleting cycle hotspots
A 'Big Ride' through the centre of town in April
£2,000 is needed by 28 Feb, so all this can happen. Please pledge what you can to make sure that our voices are heard!
This will be Bristol Cycling Campaign's biggest push since our hugely influential 2013 Bristol Cycling Manifesto. We've got enough in the bank to fund half of what's needed, so effectively BCyC is going to match every pledge £ for £.
