We will upgrade our canning and brewing equipment to bring more beer to more people!...
This year we are selling our festive wares through the Mayor's match funding scheme - you get beer & we get support to help us into 2021!
The past year has been tough on all of us. As a small business, we've had to adapt to the situation many times to try to find ways to keep bringing beer and some (covid safe) fun to the local community.
In our brewery we had to find safe ways to operate that put the health of our staff and customers first.
We shifted focus from producing barrels for pubs and our taproom to cans we could deliver to local doorsteps sold through our new online beer shop.
As lockdown eased we were able to reopen our Southey Street Taproom for takeaway and eventually for outdoor good times throughout the summer.
The shift in weather in September and the new table service rules meant we were forced to re-build our taproom to make it covid-safe when we reopened in October.
We now face a point where the hospitality industry is subject to even more restrictions and despite having come this far, the uphill battle has just got steeper.
This Christmas is very likely to be a strange one - we don't yet know what restrictions may be in place.
For us, having something a little special is what Christmas is all about - here we hope to be able to offer a range of special locally produced gifts and experiences for the beer lover in your life.
Thank you for continuing on this journey with us - we are committed to try to bring our community together with good beer and good cheer in to the festive season and beyond.
**The deal works like this: By purchasing your Christmas gifts and festive beer packs through the Mayor's Pay it Forward scheme, the Mayor will consider matching half of what you spend "Donations" - if we reach our target. That extra financial support will help keep us brewing and serving great beer to the people of Penge and beyond.
We ask project owners to honour their rewards wherever possible but please note that all pledges are donations and there is no guarantee that you will receive any rewards from the project owner. Please see our Terms of Use for more information regarding rewards for pledges.
