When Bobby became a candidate for council in the May 2026 elections, he was inspired by Zack Polanski's Bold Politics, but he wondered whether he could appeal to both sides of the UK political divide. As a brave move to raise money, Bobby has decided to brave the shave, and bring us.....

Southampton & District Green Party
Southampton and District Green Party has swelled from 380 members to 1407 since September 2025, and alongside the massive increase in polling support for the party nationally, we have greatly increased our ambitions.
The Green Party is not funded by donations from large corporates, and even though we’re volunteer run, campaigning is not without costs. Canvassing a ward for a council election costs around £2000 in printing costs, and next year, every seat on the new council, which will cover Southampton, Eastleigh, Totton and Waterside will be up for grabs. Our successful campaign in the May 2026 elections, where we gained 4 new seats in addition to the two we previously had, has depleted our funds further, and we have our biggest ever ambitions in the coming all-out elections.
In order to succeed, we are going to need to raise money, and we’re not about to go to rich people or the corporate world to get it. The Green Party is people powered, and if you want us to compete locally, it’s you, our members and supporters who will need to step up and help.
Please contribute in whatever ways you can, whether by personal donation or setting up a fundraising event, and please come and help us knock every door in Southampton for next year’s election.
