Aim
Strip Lights to Stage Lights! Help make our Music Centre into a world class chamber music venue!
The South Somerset Music Centre has been open for almost a year and provides an exciting series of professional concerts, as well as musical eduction workshops and much more to Crewkerne and the wider area. It is the home of the South Somerset Community Choir and regularly gives performance opportunities to young musicians. The space is currently lit by fluorescent strip lights and we therefore wish to install a professional stage lighting set up which will greatly improve the experience for audiences and performers at our events. The new lighting would consist of modern LED, energy efficient spot lights on the performance area as well as some coloured lighting to illuminate the wall behind to add ambience. The lighting system will be easy to use, enabling stewards and volunteers to operate it at our events, and all cabling will be concealed as far as possible.
