As we celebrate being 150 years old we would love to raise money for every child to receive a free high quality book on their birthday.
Birthday Books
We would love to raise money for our school’s birthday book project.
This year South Norwood Primary School turns 150 years old on 18th November 1872.
Our aim is for every child, this academic year, to come to the Head Teacher’s office on their birthday and choose a book which is theirs to keep.
This project promotes reading, a love of reading, discussion between adults and children and for some it is the first birthday present that they have received.
They are loving it so far but we would love to keep it well stocked and ensure a diverse representation is on offer. It is important for children to see themselves represented within characters in books.
