We need help to continue to run a 6-day phone service providing information, emotional support and practical help to people in urgent need.
Your support is urgently needed to ensure our Covid-19 support line and practical services including food delivery can continue to operate.
Southern Brooks are used to helping people; people who need a hand with their mental wellbeing; people who aren't in education, training or employment; families in crises; people who are lonely and isolated; young people; those who don't meet the criteria for help from other services, and many others in between.
The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted lives more than we ever thought possible. We started seeing a rise in calls from our clients, worried and need of extra support. There was an obvious need and we took immediate action.
About the Covid-19 Support Line
We have worked closely with South Gloucestershire Council and other organisations and voluntary groups to provide a new service for those in need across South Gloucestershire.
Every day, we’re helping vulnerable people in urgent need by providing information and emotional support, arranging food parcel deliveries, prescription collections and referrals to the amazing Mutual Aid Groups that have sprung up in South Gloucestershire.

We usually operate during regular office hours, Monday to Friday, but since Easter weekend we have been running a new emergency phone line and errands service, working later into the evenings and also at weekends. Staff have been joined by our existing volunteers and more than 70 new volunteers who want to help others during this time, to ensure that everyone who needs our help can get it.
We're also supporting 61 Mutual Aid Groups with a weekly phonecall, training (such as safeguarding) and wellbeing support.
What your donation means
Achieving our goal will help ensure these new services continue for as long as they are needed, and help us to support the amazing volunteers who are running errands across the county.
We hope that by supporting these fantastic groups and volunteers that the COVID-19 Legacy will be more connected people, and more resilient communities.
