Green Party Can Win In South Devon...

by South Devon Green Party in Newton Abbot, Devon, United Kingdom

We Can Win...

The brilliant Jacqi Hodgson has proved we can win!

Jacqi has been a Green Party member for over 28 years and has stood in local elections since 2004 and has been a Totnes Town Councillor since 2009.  Jacqi was then elected District Councillor for Dartington in 2011 and is now a Devon County Councillor.

1742017411_screenshot_2025-03-15_054312.png Jacqi made a breakthrough in 2014 being voted as the first Green Mayor in 2014, a position still held today.                                      'I enjoy being a Councillor, representing the local community and working hard on their behalf. I have so far served on the SHDC Audit Committee, the Planning Committee and on the Housing and Community Life Scrutiny panel. As a Town Councillor, I am active in issues around planning, transport and youth.'

We will have Green candidates standing in all Devon County Divisions so everyone can have a Green vote.

But we face determined and well-funded opposition; if we don’t step up, we risk losing ground.

How You Can Help

We need a minimum of £2000 for campaign materials and we will be getting as many hands on deck as possible—delivering leaflets, knocking on doors, putting up posters or simply spreading the word.

1742018446_screenshot_2025-03-15_060028.pngPrinted campaign literature is easily the best way of getting our message across. We will delivering leaflets to thousands of people and we are reliant on amazing people like you giving as much as you can. Your hard-working, independent-minded Councillors, working every day for the people of South Devon, need your support. So that they can campaign for our environment, our communities, and fairness for all.

The May election also presents us with an opportunity to elect Councillors who can reshape local government in a greener way in the transition to a Unitary Authority.  The County Council has a very good chance of having significantly more Greens this time throughout the County and South Devon needs to play its part.

Get in touch...

We would love you to get in contact if you would like to help us in addition to funding. Please get in touch with Paul at [email protected]. He would be delighted to hear from you.

Because we are a Political Party we're required to make electoral register checks from people making donations above £50, and if you donate over £1500 during a year, we are required to let the Electoral Commission know who will make this available on their website. All donations go to the South DevonGreen Party Funds.

Therefore please leave details that allow us to confirm who you are if you donate over £50.  We cannot accept donations where that isn't the case.
